About Serengeti

The Endless Plains

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's most famous safari destination and one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth. Covering 14,750 km² of rolling grasslands, acacia woodlands and riverine forests, it is home to the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world.

The Great Migration sees over 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebras and 500,000 gazelles move across the plains in a continuous cycle following the rains — pursued by predators at every turn.
